The Han Group LLC. was founded in 2001 in Boston, Massachusetts. We provide a full range of architecture, interior design and construction services for residential, corporations, government agencies, institutions, organizations and commercial businesses.

We are very familiar with local and national building codes related to each project. We design, construct and manage projects throughout the Boston region.

Today we are a firm of dedicated professionals with a broad range of experience and expertise.

The Han Group’s mission is to attract and retain skilled, talented and motivated people in the right place at the right time, in compliance with state and federal law, to a successful implementation of such projects.

A registered interior designer and licensed construction supervisor, Johnny Lai studied architecture and design in Queensland University of Technology and University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Master Degree) and began his professional career in 1992. In 2001 he founded The Han Group in Boston. As Managing Partner, Johnny has involved in various residential & commercial projects with high profile clients. Under his strategic guidance, The Han Group has broadened its services and client base within the Boston region.

Frank Kao, RA, CS

Frank Kao is a graduate of the MIT and a registered architect whose career has been dedicated to the field of residential and commercial since 1976. After two years professional relationship with Johnny Lai, he associated with The Han Group in 2005. Frank has brought his insightful and creative abilities to firm leadership and construction management. His insight and expertise have helped shape the direction of the firm’s professional development. His attention to detail and hands-on project leadership have allowed him to develop and maintain strong client relationship.
